Common Injuries Requiring Chiropractic Care

When people think of injuries and chiropractors, the first thing that usually comes to mind is some type of back injury. It is true, in fact, that different types of back injuries (including spinal injuries) are the most common types of injuries that require chiropractic care. However, there are many other injuries as well that require the care of a chiropractor. Just because you do not have a back injury, does not mean you should not see a chiropractor.

According to a chiropractic study, the exact statistics of injuries that were seen at chiropractors' offices were as follows: Sprains, strains, & tears in any area of the body: 76.5%, specific back pain: 5.3%, carpal tunnel syndrome: 5.1%, soreness and pain in all areas of the body aside from the back: 4.3%, hernia: 4.3%, tendonitis: 2.3%, and lastly, connective tissue orders, aside from tendonitis: 2.2%.

Are you suffering from an injury? Whether mild or severe, contact a chiropractor in your area today.

The second most common injury that chiropractors face and treat are neck related injuries. The neck is very easy to injure and should be treated immediately, even if the injury does not appear severe to you. Far more damage can be done than you may think, and it is best to take action before the injury spreads further down and becomes a back problem as well.

Other Common Injuries That Require Chiropractic Care:

  • Bone Fractures
  • Joint Injuries
  • Sprains
  • Muscle Cramps
  • Swelling

These symptoms can happen in any part of the body. Sprains are usually often seen in the wrists, fingers, ankles and knees. Muscle cramps are often seen in the legs, stomach and back. If you have any pain at all, especially if you are suffering from any of the injuries listed above, you need to seek chiropractic care.

Are you suffering from an injury? Whether mild or severe, contact a chiropractor in your area today.
