Step One: First, the chiropractor will ask you questions regarding your history. This may include any previous diseases or operations you may have had, any medication you are currently taking, working conditions or any other questions regarding your lifestyle.
Step Two: Depending on what you are there for exactly, the chiropractor may ask you to undress prior to examinations so that he or she can see your entire body and examine you thoroughly. Your blood pressure may be taken, and the chiropractor will probably listen to your heartbeat and breathing as well.
Step Three: The exams will then begin, which can include some or all of the things listed above, in addition to possibly other tests as well. Depending on what exams you are having exactly, they can take up to an hour and a half all together to complete. Exams in general may not sound too appealing, but once the treatment begins it will all be worth it.
Step Four: After the exams are complete, the doctor will tell you which treatments he or she recommends and recommend a schedule for you as well. Listen to what your doctor tells you and follow his or her instructions, they know what's best.
Step Five: Before you leave, you will probably be asked to schedule your next appointment, or you can always call back to schedule it. Do not forget to do this! You will want to follow through with your entire series of treatments so that pain relief can be provided for you.
